SPECTRA

RESTAURANT

The Project "Spectra" proposes an ideally integrated restaurant into the Isar Strand, Munich, an area along the river Isar with has been renatured over the period of 10 years.

Therefore, the interior is dominated by a dark green colour, which refers to the natural surrounding around the building. In the middle of the building grows a functional block like the trunk of a tree. The block offers enough space for a kitchen and a store on the first floor as well as a staff room, technic room and lavatories on the second floor. In contrast to the dark green textile revetted walls, which absorbs the noise of the customers but also has a calming emission, the functional block is constructed of light maple wood.

In addition, the chandelier and the furniture show sharpened geometric shapes appearing in every one of the 3 floors of the building in a different natural colour palette, for example, the main colour of the ground floor is a pleasant pistachio green. The Cook&Eat Area and the bar on the first floor blaze in a navy blue. This area features several characteristics, the idea of Cook&Eat involves in the opportunity that the guests can see right into the kitchen and follow the preparation of ordered meal in front of them. After the dinner, the dark khaki green Lounge on the second floor provides an incredible location to enjoy the view over the Isar and the city.
